On Thursday, May 15 and Tuesday, May 20, 6:30 pm to 9 pm, an Internet Safety Class will be held at the Saugus Public Safety Building on 27 Hamilton St, Saugus. This interactive seminar will provide parents with a better understanding of how easy it is for their children to get into trouble on the Internet. Even well behaved children with good intentions can find themselves exposed to information you may not want them to see.
The Internet provides an unlimited source of valuable information, entertainment and communication that you and your children use every day. Unfortunately, there is also danger lurking out there. We teach our children not to play in the street and to avoid bullies at school; now we have to deal with the likes of cyber bullies and cyber predators. As parents, we need a whole new set of tools to help protect our children from the dangers of the Internet while still allowing them to tap the valuable resources it offers.
This Internet Safety class is presented by F&S Computer Services and is sponsored by the Saugus Police Department. This will not be a dry, boring lecture! Frank Gill and Steve Sacco of F&S Computer Services will give you an eye-opening, live demonstration of several Internet sites, chat rooms, instant messaging, web cams and more. They will then provide you with information and tools to help you protect your children. Each person attending the class will receive free software and a package of information to take home. Due to the nature of the material and content to be discussed, children under 18 will not be allowed to attend this class. Space is limited and reservations are required. These class-es fill up quickly so call 781-231-5634 or send an email to:
info@fscomputerservices.com today to reserve a spot.
